Aïcha Sow is a Senior Operations Officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the Sydney office. She supports business development activities in Pacific Islands Countries. Aicha has close to 15 years of experience with IFC ranging from business development to deal processing in manufacturing, agribusiness, and power. Prior to coming to Sydney, Aïcha was with IFC's Fragile and Conflict Situations team in West and Central Africa. Her role included growing IFC's business in these challenging markets, strengthening relationships with local companies and improving company governance. Prior to joining the IFC, Aïcha was a Senior Auditor with Deloitte in Washington, DC. Aïcha holds an MBA and a Master’s in Science from Northeastern University in Boston.

Before entering into Politics, he is a Senior Police Officer

He was elected into National Parliament on March 27 2008 in a by-election.  From that year on, he still maintain his position as a representative of his constituency in East Malaita until now.  Current government of Solomon Islands He is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Ministry of Infrastructure Development.

He has held other position as Minister for Home Affairs and DPM from 27th August 2010 to November 2011.  In addition, from 22 November 2011 to 8 September 2014.  Re-appointed as Minister of Infrastructure Development as of May 2019. and in 2020 he was elected as the Deputy Prime Minister.

Tim Ayres is the Assistant Minister for Trade and Assistant Minister for Manufacturing in the Albanese Labor Government.

He was elected as a Senator for New South Wales in the 2019 election. During the 46th Parliament, he was Chair of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Public Administration and Member of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Joint Standing Committee. He led the work of several Select Inquiries including a Senate report on the capability of the Australian Public Service.

He was appointed as Assistant Minister for Trade and Assistant Minister for Manufacturing in June 2022, after the election of the Labor Government led by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Before entering Parliament, Tim spent twenty-four years in the trade union movement, representing the interests of workers across a variety of sectors including manufacturing, defence, food processing, aviation and metal industries.

Albert Maeraga Kabui is the current Special Secretary to the Prime Minister, Hon Manasseh Sogavare. A position he held since the government came into office in 2019. He holds a Professional Diploma in Legal Practice, a Professional Diploma in Legal Drafting and a Bachelors of Arts Degree majoring in Sociology and a Bachelor of Laws Degree with the University of the South Pacific. The Office of the Prime Minister & Cabinet coordinate national developmental priorities and Infrastructure Investment Programmes that are initiated from critical developmental policy of the current government. This includes the construction of key infrastructures for the Pacific Games to be held this year 2023 and other national service infrastructures including Clinics, Wharfs and Schools. Strategic transport network systems – bridges and roads are also substantial elements to building an economic and social platform for development. The presentation will cover what the government intends to develop for its economic development.

Ms. Annette Leith is the World Bank’s Representative for Country Offices in Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, overseeing a portfolio of more than US$630 million in commitments, spanning sectors such as transport, aviation, health, fisheries and agriculture. Ms. Leith has over 20 years’ experience in the international aid and development sector, including policy and strategy development, resource management and oversight of World Bank-financed operations and investments. This is her second positing to Solomon Islands and, in addition to extensive experience across the Pacific region, she has worked in Timor-Leste, Africa, East Asia and Washington D.C. Ms. Leith holds a Bachelor of Management and a Master of Business Administration.

Annie (Ann) supports Australia Awards scholars and alumni to enhance their professional development, networks, and employability while studying abroad at tertiary level and upon return home to Solomon Islands. Annie has facilitated internships for Australia Awards scholars studying across Australia with Australian organisations, connected employers with the local Australia Global Alumni network in Solomon Islands, and fostered public and private sector connections to support bilateral people-to-people linkages for scholars and alumni. Annie shares with Australia Awards scholars and alumni her own experiences of studying and working in both regional and urban Australia. She currently resides in Honiara working with DT Global on two DFAT-funded Aid programs in Solomon Islands, including as a Communications Specialist.

Born and raised in the Solomon Islands, Bob Pollard, the Managing Director of Pasifik HR and Kokonut Pacific Solomon Islands (KPSI) is passionate about helping people fulfil their potential. With a background in business teaching and consultancy, Bob formed Pasifiki Service Ltd, trading as Pasifiki HR in 1998, and took on the challenge of becoming one of the owners of KPSI and managing KPSI in 2010. As a long-term resident of Solomon Islands Bob has extensive experience in engaging with the challenges that Solomon Islands faces as a developing nation, both social and economic.

Belinda Botha, an SSI Instructor Trainer and PADI MSDT is owner operator of the multi-award winning Dive Munda in the Western Province of the Solomon Islands. Belinda also recently launched a second business, Solomon Islands Discovery Cruises, the latest unique boutique style small cruise ship offering operating throughout the Solomon Islands. Belinda also started up the business, Solomon Islands Dive Expeditions, now part of Solomons/PNG Masters fleet when she relocated to the Solomon Islands in 2013. Belinda is a Board member of the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and the Western Province Tourism Association.

Mr Sivoro has been a career civil servant in the Public Service of Solomon Islands for the past 21 years. Of these, 8 years as Deputy Director of Tourism and 13 years as Director of the Tourism until his appointment as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry and Tourism in mid-2022.

With the wealth of experience and knowledge accumulated over his years of involvement in the tourism sector, Mr Sivoro has an intimate knowledge of the industry and is committed to lead the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and enhance the sectors contribution to the socio-economic growth and development of the country.

Chris is a founding Executive Director and the Chief Executive Officer of the Pacific Tug Group. In this role he has overall responsibility for managing and leading the group.
With a family history in the maritime industry, Chris decided he wanted to become a Master Mariner in high school. Chris became a cadet with ASP Ship Management and attended the Australian Maritime College in Tasmania. He graduated in 1996 with a Diploma of Applied Science and a Second Officer
certificate of competency. By 2002 he had achieved a Bachelor of Business in Maritime Management and a Class One Master Certificate of Competency.
He is an accomplished Seafarer with extensive experience on Tankers, Dredging and Offshore work providing him with a strong foundation for forming the Pacific Tug Group in 2006 with other family members.
Under his watch, Pacific Tug has become one of Australia’s leading maritime business’s building the fleet to 30 vessels and acquiring 2 marine industry sites along the way.

Hailing from Choiseul Province in the north-west of the Solomon Islands, Dagnal Dereveke has helmed the Solomon Islands National Tourist Office since October 2021 in the dual role of Acting CEO and Head of Corporate Services.
Initially tasked with steering his team through the challenges presented by COVID-19 and other domestic issues having the potential to damage the Solomon Is. brand profile, a hallmark of Mr Dereveke’s leadership has been the drive and passion required to see the Solomon Islands reinstated positively on the world tourism stage post-COVID.
Joining Tourism Solomons in 2018 as the Head of Corporate Services, Mr Dereveke has considerable Government, Commercial, and Academic experience. He holds a BA with double major in Accounting & Finance from the University of the South Pacific, a PGDip in Financial Economics from Massey
University, and has attended the Executive Development Institute of Tourism at the University of Hawaii.

Daniel Tucker is a former Solomon Islands Chamber Commerce and Industry (SICCI) Board Member and held the position for two (2) terms between 2020 – 2022. He is currently a Member for the ‘Building and Construction Industry Working Group (BCIWG)’ a subcommittee of SICCI.

Daniel Tucker is employed by Kramer Ausenco (SI) Ltd as the Country Manager – The largest engineering and project management firm founded in PNG with regional coverage across the Pacific and established operations in the Solomon Islands for over 40 years.

He has almost 15 years’ experience in Engineering and Project Management in a wide range of infrastructure projects in the Solomon Islands, PNG and the Pacific.

Daniel’s business focus has been reinforcing core strengths in quality engineering and project management, whilst improving standards and developing the capabilities of national professionals/experts on local and international projects.

Daniel holds the qualifications of Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (PNGUOT).

Erik has been practising in PNG since 1990 and is regarded as being amongst the most experienced and well-respected dispute resolution lawyers in PNG. He is consistently recognised by leading legal directories, including Chambers Asia Pacific, as a Band 1 practitioner in PNG.

Erik has acted in significant regional litigation, including International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) matters.  He has also advised on numerous inbound investment arbitrations in the Pacific, in industries including forestry and infrastructure.  Erik has also acted for numerous government bodies in relation to their powers and functions.

Erik has further advised clients in inbound Pacific investment by large multinationals, including Santos, Total Energies and Puma Energy.  He has acted on significant projects in the oil and gas sectors, including upstream, midstream and downstream petroleum. 

Erik has a particular expertise in responding to landowner claims for benefits, and structuring benefits for landowners in all generations of mining and petroleum project structures.

Eranda Kotelawala was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Solomon Islands Ports Authority in February 2017. Prior to that, he was the COO of Fiji Ports Corporation Limited managing five major ports of entry into Fiji.

Eranda earned his master’s degree from Aberdeen Business School in Scotland. He then focused on business process re-engineering, gaining extensive expertise in this area at a number of international ports. This included positions as a senior consultant to Transnet Port Authority in Durban, South Africa and the Port of Sultan Qaboos in Oman.

Carrying more than 25 years of management experience predominantly in shipping in different continents, Eranda is also a Chartered Fellow of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK, Fellow of Chartered Management Institute UK, Associate Fellow of The Nautical Institute UK, and a  full member of Institute of Management Consultants Australia.

He has consulted on Business Process Re-engineering Projects on major Port projects in the South Pacific, Gulf and South Africa.  Eranda holds a Master’s Degree in Management and Business Process Reengineering from Aberdeen Business School, Scotland. Geoff has extensive experience in engineering, project management and mining finance. Prior to his appointment to Pacific Nickel, Geoff worked for Finders Resources where he was closely involved in the development of the company’s Wetar Island copper project in Indonesia. He was previously an executive director of Tennant Metals Pty Ltd (a metals trading company) and prior to that an executive director of RFC Group (now RFC Ambrian). In the last three years he has been appointed an executive director of Pacific Nickel, a founding non-executive director of Southern Palladium Limited (ASX and JSE Listed - IPO in June 2022) and a non-executive director of Austpac Resources Limited (ASX Listed).

Ian is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 25 years civil engineering and management experience in South Africa, the UK, New Zealand and the Solomon Islands.  He grew up and studied in South Africa before emigrating to the UK, and then on to New Zealand in 1989.  Ian holds a Bachelor’s degree specialising in water and wastewater, and an Executive MBA from Waikato University. 

Ian has worked mainly in the local government and consulting sectors, predominantly in roading and 3 waters infrastructure management and capital projects, with many years at an executive management level. 

Ian was formerly General Manager Infrastructure at Tauranga City Council before deciding to give something back to society and took up the role of General Manager: Solomon Water in July 2015.  He will finish with Solomon Water after the Pacific Games in December 2023 and will have been the longest serving CEO Solomon Water has had.

He owns his own small consulting company and has held various private and public sector governance roles including on the Board of Directors of the Pacific water and wastewater Association since 2016, and Chairman of the Association since 2021.

He is passionate about the Solomon Isalnds and developing infrastructure to better the lives and health of all Solomon Islanders.

Jay Bartlett is the Managing Director at Hatanga Ltd, a local construction company based in the Solomon Islands capital, Honiara. At present he is a member of the Central Bank of Solomon Islands Board of Directors, Deputy Chair for the Solomon Islands Tertiary Skills and Education Authority Board, and a member of the Bmobile Board of Directors – a telecommunications company in the country. Previously Jay was on the Board of the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce, where he was Board Chairman from 2014 to 2021. Jay obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Sciences from James Cook University in Queensland, Australia, and is currently completing an MBA Course online through the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Krista Jacob-Tatapu is the Director of Mines, a Division within the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification. This is the first time that a female has held the position of the Director of Mines and in this capacity she is promoting women in leadership and decision making.  

Having worked in the Mines Division for 17 years, Krista has seen transformations in the Mining Industry of the country. Her aspiration for the mining sector in the Solomon Islands is to see the mining industry appropriately managed and regulated to reflect best practice in international mining standards.

Krista holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (Chemistry) from the University of the South Pacific, a Master of Environmental Management in the field of Environmental Management in Mining (2015) and a Master of Philosophy (2017), both latter degrees from The University of Queensland. She had also published an academic journal in 2020, as part of her higher research degree, on the elevated arsenic concentrations in the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) surface waters at the Gold Ridge Mine, Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands.

Kishti is an accomplished Senior Economist providing best-in-class decision making support. As the Pacific Economist for ANZ Banking Group, Kishti provides expert economic commentary and insights on what is going on across the region and helps businesses understand what it means for them. Before joining ANZ, Kishti was the Senior Australian Economist for BIS Oxford Economics in Sydney and a Senior Economist and Economist at the Reserve Bank of Fiji.

Kishti is an economist, adviser and forecaster with a passion for improving the standard of living of Pacific people.

At present, Kishti is the Pacific Economist at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group where he leads ANZ’s macro-research capabilities for Papua New Guinea and the Pacific islands. He publishes economic outlook reports for the Pacific, by country, which presents the latest 18 month forecasts and a discussion of the important issues influencing the economy including employment, government finances and exchange rates. In addition, Kishti writes thought articles on how the Pacific can realise its enormous economic potential.

Prior to joining ANZ in February of 2018, Kishti was the Senior Australia Economist at BIS Oxford Economics - the largest independent economics research house worldwide - for a decade. As the senior economist, Kishti analysed a wide variety of Australian macroeconomic data, produced forecasts, contributed to the company's highly regarded economic forecasting reports and provided macroeconomic consultancy services to clients across a range of industry sectors. Before then, Kishti was a Senior Economist at the Reserve Bank of Fiji where he built and managed the Bank's research and analytical work programme. In addition, he was a member of high profile policy and forecasting committees including the Macro Policy Committee — the think tank for fiscal policy — and the Monetary Policy Committee which advised the Governor directly on interest-rate settings.

Born and raised in Fiji, Kishti has close to 25 years of experience in the public and the private sectors. He holds a PhD in economics from the University  of Sydney.

An accomplished executive with extensive Australian and international experience in leadership, executive management, government relations, project and service delivery, Leata Alaimoana was appointed Queensland Trade Commissioner for the Pacific in March 2023.

Leata began her career within the Investment Attraction Unit with what was then Queensland Department of State Development in 2002. The last two decades has taken Leata through a variety of management and leadership roles in the Queensland, Federal and Samoa Governments, Sunshine Coast City Council, Aviation Australia and Pacific Trade Invest Australia.  

During her time with Pacific Trade Invest Australia she facilitated over $33 million in investments across the Pacific Island region, creating economic opportunities while delivering positive social outcomes for communities.

Leata is a non-executive Director on the Boards of Good Return and Exemplar International Development, and is NAATI accredited as a Samoan interpreter/translator.  

Lorena has extensive experience developing infrastructure investment plans across economic and social sectors, in close collaboration with the Ministries of Finance and Infrastructure and with strong focus in development partner financing coordination and government institutional building. Lorena helped develop infrastructure plans in Tonga, Cook Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa, Tuvalu, Kiribati, RMI, Nauru, and Solomon Islands, where she supported the Ministry of National Planning and Development Coordination to develop the Solomon Islands National Infrastructure Investment pipeline in 2019 and 2021.

Lottie Vaisekavea is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock in Solomon Islands. He has a Masters in Agriculture Science. He is a keen farmer and community development specialist. He has worked in agriculture and rural development in various capacities over the last three decades. He is keen to lead and build in partnership, a deliberate choice for agriculture and eliminate the persistent unstable production and procure new cascades.

He looks at agriculture from a new angle. A re-valuing of the human component as the common denominator and pivot point for new functionality. A new perception, mindset and corporate capacity. A new starting point, motivation and synergy to birth and sustain a transformation - A seed to tree design.

He is a strong advocate for individual development, leadership and youth empowerment as the catalyst for a corporate ecosystem, synergy and transformation.

Transformation is equalization! It requires invalidation and removal of former assumptions, perceptions and margins. It requires a new eye. Agriculture must make sense. It must make sense to every farmer, family and young couple, to every community and every enterprise who proposes a better future. When equalization is naturalized participation is normalized.

Mr. Luke Forau is the Governor of the Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI) and the Chairman of CBSI Board. He was appointed Governor on the 1st October 2019 after serving as Deputy Governor from September 2018 to September 2019. He is a career central banker, having worked as (Senior) Research Analyst and Chief Manager Economics, Research & Statistics, as well as Advisor to Governor.

Mr Luke Forau was appointed to the position of Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Solomon Islands in September, 2018. Prior to taking up the position, he was the Advisor to Governor’s Office at the Central Bank. Mr Forau has been with the Central Bank of Solomon Islands for 20 years, and was Chief Manager Economics, Research and Statistics Department before taking up the role of the Advisor. He is also the current Chairman of the Economics Association of Solomon Islands.
Mr Forau has a PhD in Economics from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), a Master Degree in International and Development Economics from the Australian National University (ANU), and a Bachelor Degree from the University of the South Pacific (USP).

Luke Jackson is a Senior Export Manager for Pacific Islands International. He manages the companies Projects Division and Food and Beverage Sector. Luke has been an International Export Manager within the Pacific Islands for more than 10 years and works closely with the International private business sector, architects and engineers to help promote sustainable materials and product solutions within the challenging Pacific Islands environment. 

Malcolm Devin along with 3 other Indigenous directors started BY Group in 2014. BY Group delivers construction and infrastructure projects for Government clients across Australia. Malcolm earned a Bachelor in Construction Economics from the University of Sydney. Completing a final year at Heriot Watt university in Scotland. He is a chartered quantity surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

With more than 20 years experience as a quantity surveyor, project manager, construction manager and now General Manager of an Indigenous construction company.

Starting working life in London and then a career with a large Multinational based in Sydney delivering projects across Asia Pacific. Previously working in the Solomon Islands in exploration and construction.

Matt is a development economist who has spent the last 10 years working for the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Matt is currently the Officer-in-Charge of ADB’s Pacific Liaison and Coordination Office (PLCO) in Sydney, Australia. PLCO is responsible for the client relationships with Nauru, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu; leads finance sector work across the Pacific; and is the primary point of contact for Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade when dealing with ADB. Matt’s area of technical expertise includes macroeconomic stability, fiscal policy, public financial management (PFM) reform, improving domestic resource mobilization, debt management, state-owned enterprise (SOE) reform, development of independent economic regulatory agencies, improving the business environment for private sector development, financial and capital market sector reform, and financial intermediation loans. Before that, Matt lived and worked in the Solomon Islands for 5 years as an economic reform advisor in the Ministry of Finance, focusing on economic and fiscal policy, improving the PFM system, liberalizing the telecommunications market, and SOE reforms. Matt also worked in the New Zealand public service as an analyst in the New Zealand Treasury. Matt has worked in Afghanistan, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Cook Islands, Fiji, Kyrgyz Republic, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Uzbekistan, and Vanuatu.

Matt has a Master of Management Studies majoring in Economics and a Bachelor of Management Studies majoring in Economics and Psychology. Both degrees are from the University of Waikato in New Zealand.

Mr. Wate is the current CEO of the Solomon Islands National Provident Fund (SINPF).  Prior to his appointment on 1st Jan 2018 as CEO, he was the Fund’s Deputy General Manager from 2011 and Manager Investments from 2005 when he joined the Fund.

Before joining the Fund, he worked with the Development Bank of Solomon Islands (DBSI) starting as an economist in 1986 to later holding various senior management positions from 1994 to 2005.

In May 2016, he was appointed by the Solomon Islands Ports Authority (SIPA) Board to manage SIPA as Interim CEO after the former CEO was removed. After normalising SIPA and successfully recruiting a new CEO for the national ports, returned to the SINPF in February 2017.

Mr. Wate has an Economics Degree from the University of Papua New Guinea (1986) and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA (1993).

Mr. Wate is currently the Chairman of the Melanesian Holdings Limited (MHL), the investment arm of the Anglican Church of Melanesia and Deputy Chairman on Solomon Islands Ports Authority Board. Other board membership includes South Pacific Oil Limited and PNG based Loloata Island Resort Ltd Boards.

His past Board memberships include the first Solomon Islands National University (SINU) Council (2012-2013), Soltuna Ltd (2008-2016), and Solomon Housing Limited (2009-2010).

Mr. Wate is a honorary member of the Economics Association of Solomon Islands, an association for all Solomon Islands economists he helped established in 2001.

Namoi is a passionate entrepreneur and a leader in the Solomon Islands business community. She has a wealth of experience in business development, digital marketing and advertising. She has worked with a wide range of clients, from local businesses to international corporations. Namoi has been a part of the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce for a few years and was recently elected Vice Chairlady. As part of her role, she is involved in the Building/Construction and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) working groups.

Namoi is the co-founder of Adkonect, a local advertising agency operating for more than 10 years in the Solomon Islands. Her company’s online platform PacificTenders.com was the recipient of the 2017 Business Excellence Award. Pacific Tenders is an online platform for project opportunities and updates in the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea. 

Namoi is passionate about helping local businesses succeed and promoting the Solomon Islands as a great place to do business. She is an advocate for SME's, equal representation especially local content and is working to create more business opportunities in Solomon Islands.

Paul has held a number of training, engineering, regimental and staff appointments during his 30 year Army career.Paul has been appointed as Officer Commanding the 17th Construction Squadron, where he was responsible for delivery of a $5 million Army Aboriginal Community Assistance Program construction project in Mapoon, Far North Queensland. Paul also completed a deployment as the Commanding Officer and Chief Engineer of the Force Extraction Unit during June to December 2013, responsible for successful delivery of the $8.5 million deconstruction project for remediation of Australian infrastructure within Multi National Base - Tarin Kot as part of the Australian Defence Force draw down in Afghanistan. Paul has also spent six years in Army Headquarters responsible for leading Land Force modernisation and infrastructure development. Paul is currently posted as Acting Assistant Secretary, Indo-Pacific Infrastructure Branch in the newly established Pacific Division, responsible for delivery and maintenance of security-related infrastructure for Indo-Pacific partner nations.

With over thirty years’ senior management experience in large scale, high profile, global projects, Peter has led large multidisciplinary teams throughout the globe. In locations as wide spread as the UK, China, India, Singapore, PNG, Australia, the Pacific Islands and Africa, he has seen first-hand the contribution that major events bring to hosting cities.

Peter has held senior roles in Olympic, Commonwealth and Regional Games, and is used to working in high public profile environments where the local community has a strong emotional link and a vested interest in the outcomes.

In 2005, he established the Events Melbourne Branch of the City of Melbourne to support the Council's contribution to Victoria’s major events strategy, including the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

After a two-year assignment as part of a small team of Games experts brought in to assist the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, Peter moved to PNG where he led the successful delivery of the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby. These Games were a launching pad for a revitalised tourism and events strategy implemented by Papua New Guinea.

During the COVID crisis, Peter led the Tourism and Events team at the Latrobe City Council as it grappled with the huge impacts imposed on both community and commercial events.

Having completed assignments in Singapore, Africa, FIJI and Australia in recent years, Peter is currently living in Honiara in his role as CEO for the 2023 Pacific Games in Solomon Islands.

Rick is a senior project manager with more than 20 years’ experience. His current role with Johnstaff International Development, is leading the Bina Harbour Project Office. This ambitious and exciting endeavour, located on a greenfield site in Solomon Islands, is required to design and deliver a new precinct for onshore tuna processing inclusive of supporting infrastructure. Prior to Bina Harbour, Rick has been involved with PNG health projects, the redevelopment of the ANGAU Hospital in Lae and procuring specialist medical equipment for the Highlands.

Rick has a long history of working in client-side project management on behalf of Australian State and Federal Government Departments delivering infrastructure and procurement outcomes in the Defence, Education, Health, and Foreign Affairs sectors. Prior to entering private industry, Rick was a career Australian Army Officer serving in engineering, training and major capital equipment appointments. Rick has completed Batchelor and post graduate level studies in management.

Rob Jauncey is the Chief Investment Officer for the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP).  Since being established in mid-2019, AIFFP has now signed 12 projects in 9 countries valued at over A$1.2 billion.  Prior to joining AIFFP, Rob spent 20 years with the Asian Development Bank and World Bank, including as ADB’s Regional Director for the South Pacific (20014-2018) and as the World Bank’s Regional Coordinator for the Pacific (2009-2014).  In these roles, Rob was involved in mobilizing almost A$2 billion in new financing for the Pacific, including for major infrastructure projects such as the South Tarawa road in Kiribati, the Avatiu port in Cook Islands, ICT cables to Samoa and Tonga, airport runway construction and rehabilitation in several countries, and the construction of over 30 MW of renewable energy generation.

Mr Hilton is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently Acting Deputy Secretary, Development and Multilateral Group.

He has previously served overseas as Deputy High Commissioner in New Delhi and Minister Counsellor in Port Moresby.

Mr Hilton holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University.

Roy Lagolago is the Head of Secretariat for the PACER Plus Implementation Unit and Labour Mobility based in Samoa and has spent over 10 years working in the Pacific region. Roy has a background in law enforcement, security, intelligence, investigations, and trade and has spent over 20 years in the New Zealand Public Service. He was previously the Head of Secretariat for the Oceania Customs Organisation and the Senior Secretariat Manager at the Public Service Fale, a regional organisation for Public Service Commissioners in the Pacific.

He was also the Head of International for the New Zealand Customs Service managing the international portfolios for Asia, America's, Australia, Europe, and the Pacific as well as managing the Border 5 and APEC Secretariats.

Roy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology and a Master’s in Public Management from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

Roy Lagolago is a Samoan-New Zealand National appointed to guide the implementation of the region’s most comprehensive trade and investment agreement. Roy was born and raised in Samoa, and from the villages of Fagalii, Fasitoo Uta and Sapapalii. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology as well as a Masters in Public Management from Victoria university in Wellington. Roy started a public service career in 2002 with the New Zealand Customs Service and has been privileged to spend much of that career to serve and protect Pacific communities. Mr Lagolago has extensive experience in supporting trade facilitation in the Pacific and took up the role of PACER Plus Implementation Unit Head in July this year.

Simon is a construction professional who  has managed projects across the world He has significant experience in international disaster settings and complex emergencies as well as traditional large scale infrastructure. He has spent time working on and leading projects in Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Tonga, Samoa, PNG, Indonesia, Federated State of Micronesia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Rwanda, Somalia, and Sri Lanka. His work career also involved stints in Hong Kong,  New York as well as his current role in Australia.

Simon is the Managing Director of the Reeves Envico Group. He was one of the founders of CCB Envico which carries out complex Water and Environmental projects both in Australia and throughout Asia Pacific and director in Reeves International which focuses on the execution of Infrastructure projects throughout the Pacific region.

Toby Griffiths has worked in international shipping, focusing on the Pacific, for the past 10 years. Most recently as Country Manager Tradco Shipping based in Honiara, Toby is now based in Australia as Country Manger Swire Shipping.
